Who said you need to wait until New Year’s Eve to declare a resolution towards a healthier lifestyle? That healthier lifestyle starts now. Any excuse you had, like not having enough time, goes out the window starting the minute you finish reading this article because I’ve put together five easy things that you can start implementing into your life ASAP.

1. Eat fruits/veggies at every meal

Your body needs to be in top shape in order to function at its peak. This doesn’t mean attaining a fitness model’s body, it means being healthy from the inside out, and that starts with the foods you eat.

2. Dedicate 15 minutes to exercise

HIIT exercises are proof that you only need at least 15 minutes of intense workouts a day to see a difference. But if HIIT workouts aren’t your thing then find something else you love and do that at max capacity. If walking is your thing, then do fast-paced walking. It’s all about getting that heart rate up.

3. Say one positive thing about yourself

Health is all about being well-rounded. You have to have a healthy mind in addition to having a healthy body. Practice self-care starting with saying one positive thing about yourself daily. You’ll start to notice a major difference in the way you perceive yourself and the world.

4. Drink 2 liters of water

Your body needs water. You’d be surprised at how many people don’t meet their daily water intake. In addition to helping your skin feel more rejuvenated, it also helps curb your appetite and helps you figure out whether you’re really hungry or not.

5. Sleep 6-8 hours everyday

This is important because without an adequate amount of sleep, you won’t be able to produce the energy you need to practice self-care, work out, or care about food choices. With a continuous lack of sleep, everything you’ve worked hard for can easily go out the door, so get some sleep!
