I Love My Small Chest and You Should, Too
By Vanessa Palencia
I've heard so many young women complain about their boobs, and I've heard many men throw subtle shade at my boob size, but despite it all, I still love my small chest.
If you've been following my story, you'll know that I struggle with body confidence, but the size of my boobs isn't one of them.
I can't really say. I know that there was once a time when I seriously considered getting a boob job because I really wanted to wear a tank top and have serious cleavage. But I think it was realizing the upkeep with having fake boobs that scared me into loving myself.
But we can't really scare ourselves into loving every part of us, can we? At least, not that I'm aware of. If you know how to do this, please let me know because I'd love to try it out! Seriously! But until then, here are a few reasons why I love my small chest and why you should, too.
You don't have to worry about your girls misbehaving and popping out. They're small, so wherever you stick them is where they'll stay.
If you don’t feel like wearing a bra, then you don’t have to. You can get away with not wearing one, except in winter, unless you don't mind showing those nips. For the most part, bras are just to create the illusion of cleavage when we don't really have one.
Here's to running up and down the stairs without having them slap you in the face and having slightly less of a back problem because they can’t weigh you down. Cheers!
Grab that low v-cut dress you've been staring at all day because you know you can rock it without the fear of the ladies playing peek-a-boo all night! Those dresses were made for you.
Do you know how freeing it is to sleep on my stomach or be pressed up against my boyfriend or sleeping face down without having to worry about about soreness or other possible pain? And then there's boob sweat, or lack thereof. It's one less thing to worry about when sliding into summers.
