Latino Songs that Will Have You In Your Feels

Latino Songs that Will Have You In Your Feels

By Elizabeth Barrera

New Year’s is just a few days away, and for all my Latino folk out there, you know pretty damn well that just like the party started on the 24th and ended on the 25th (or the 26th at like 2am), the New Year’s celebration won’t be any different. The 31st will most likely begin with mass, then onto the preparation of the grapes and champagne, and finally some good food, liquor, laughter, and endless hours of karaoke.

Yup, I said it: karaoke. Most of the time, karaoking is fun, especially once you’ve thrown back a few shots of tequila, mezcal, or downed a couple of Modelos (if you’re faint-hearted, no shade either). Regardless of your drink of choice, one thing remains true across all Mexican boards: karaoking will most likely end with the most depressing songs you could think of.

The reason why we choose to torture ourselves is still beyond me. We’re definitely not sadistic...I think. I just like to think of it as us being a very passionate group of people who use music as a method of therapy. Orrrrrrrrr maybe, just maybe we do like torture - *shoulder shrug*. It’s an unsolved mystery, but in the meantime, I think we can all agree to blame the alcohol and shrug it off instead. Exhibit A below:

Check out the list of songs below that will definitely have you in your feels at your next party!

Note: Remember to drink responsibly and don't drink and drive.
