Emotions We’ve Experienced While Watching Say Yes to the Dress

By Elizabeth Barrera

What better day to watch Say Yes to the Dress than Saturday? TLC saves our (possible hangover) day by having an all-day marathon of women trying on dress after dress. Most of us have a secret board on Pinterest of what our ideal wedding will look like, especially our dress. So nothing infuriates us more than the poor choice of wedding dresses picked out by the brides. If you’ve ever spent your day watching Say Yes to the Dress, then you’ve definitely experienced at least one of the following emotions:

1. Disgust.

Why in the world is she choosing a feathery skirt?! Her body is amazing and this dress is only making her look like a damn ostrich. Ugh, and those damn lace sleeves don’t go with the feathery skirt. PLEASE choose the princess dress.

2. Annoyance.

What is wrong with her friends?! She’s completely in love with the dress and they’re being pretty crappy. *Looks at friends* You better not pull that on me. Also, why did she bring her fiance with her? That’s bad luck, duh.

3. Sympathy.

Oh my gosh, her dress, the one, is over her budget! No other dress will ever compare to this one. I can't even deal right now. What is she going to do?! I knew she shouldn't have tried it on, damn it.

4. Sadness.

*Looks at secret wedding board on Pinterest* Well, where’s my man? I have everything planned out so perfectly. I just want to go dress hunting already.

5. Excitement.

SHE SAID YES TO THE DRESS! Awe, she looks so happy, I’m sooooo excited for her! She looks so beautiful too. Oh gosh, her mom is crying. Please, stop. Don’t cry.
